Let’s take careers like software engineering as an example that looked secure until 2022 but are now suddenly under threat by Ai.
However, like any technological revolution, AI will not only eliminate jobs but also generate new ones, some of which we may not even foresee now.
Still, the issue with the accelerating technological progress will be that jobs are going to be created and destroyed at a quicker rate. The key to job security in the future will likely be adaptability and continuous learning to keep up with the always-changing job market.
This benefits generalists, but will be a challenge for specialists. And maybe manual labor will really be the new coding in the future.
